How It Started

The ICI Stori

It all started back in 2022 at an apartment complex pool in Charlotte, NC. Jack had just moved to the city to go full-time on his first business, and Tim was grinding as a sports videographer. What started as a casual neighborly chat turned into a friendship so close that Tim is actually the godfather to Jack’s daughter.

Fast forward to June 2025. Tim had just bought a Ninja Creami. He was obsessed with the concept of protein ice cream but frustrated with the execution. The process was messy, the consistency was hit-or-miss, and the flavor options were boring. He pitched Jack an idea: What if we made a protein base that was simpli delicious, perfectly textured, and ready to scoop?

Turns out, Jack had the exact same idea. Combining Jack’s ecommerce brain with Tim’s creative eye, ICI was born. We aren't food scientists in lab coats; we’re just two normal guys who wanted to stay fit without giving up the sweets. We knew store-bought diet pints were full of fillers (and way too expensive), and DIY recipes were a hassle. We knew we could do better.

So, we did.

Jack Scrimshire

Co-Founder
Jack is a serial entrepreneur, a proud husband, and a girl-dad. When he isn’t optimizing the business or chasing a toddler, he’s embracing his inner nerd. You’ll usually find him deep in a fantasy novel, gaming, lifting heavy, or sampling a whiskey he’s never tried before.

Tim Hill

Co-Founder
Tim is the creative force behind the brand. A massive Star Wars fan and avid gamer, Tim loves hiking in nature almost as much as he loves a good movie marathon. As a former sports videographer, he brings the visual magic to ICI. If it looks good, Tim probably shot it. If it tastes good, Tim probably tested it (a lot).

Poolside Meeting

Jack and Tim meet at their apartment pool in Charlotte. A bromance (and a future business partnership) begins.

06/2025
The "Aha" Moment

Tired of inconsistent DIY recipes and expensive store-bought pints, Tim pitches the idea of a dedicated Protein Ice Cream Base. Jack is immediately in.

08/2025
The Lab Phase

We went all in. We ordered hundreds of ingredients—testing different proteins, sweeteners, and flavor agents to banish the "chalky" taste forever.

The Big Riski

The scary part. We finalized the formula and shelled out the cash for two full pallets of Whey and Casein. There was no turning back.
